CoVid Complacency
Usually I write first thing in the morning, drinking my coffee, listening to music, and penning my thoughts. Not today, it’s late in the evening and I’m not finished yet. Hell, I’ve just started and probably won’t complete it for a bit.
It’s been extremely comfortable falling into a routine like my fellows. I’ve decided it’ll be better to distance myself even more than social distancing. I’ll limit conversations and the like. I’ve been tasked with another purpose and sitting around complaining about things beyond my control won’t help me accomplish my goal.
Today, Tuesday, April 7, 2020, I am grateful that:
I’m not a follower. I don’t have to blend in and do what everyone else is doing. I can walk comfortably on my life’s journey knowing my destination is what He has planned.
Circumstances can’t deter me from my objective. It’s tempting to want to do what everyone else is doing but I must remain vigilant. I must continue to do what needs to get done, if not, it won’t get finished.
There’s an enhanced sense of community. People are seemingly more concerned with others than themselves. It’s tragic that a global event is needed to manifest such feelings but I’m happy people are moving along the lines of selflessness.
Are you moving towards your purpose?
Are you thinking and helping others?
Will you allow this to become a detour?
Be Great. Be Grateful!!!
